vegan transition

so i figured i would write about my past vegan days so it would be easier to see what i buy and what i eat and whatever.

Wednesday night me and my boyfriend went to aldi to buy some things and heres what was bought that i can eat:

Bag of frozen peas - .99 cents
Bottle of grape juice - 2.49 dollars
Bottle of apple juice - 1.49 dollars
frozen green bean fries - 1.99 dollars(i can’t eat the dip that comes with)
bag o’ bananas - .64 cents
1 can of lentil soup - 1.29 dollars
1 loaf of wheat bread - .99 cents
bag of frozen corn - .99 cents
frozen green beans - 1.49 dollars
Frozen california medly(broccoli,cauliflower,carrots) - 1.09 dollars
bag of spinach - 1.69 dollars
bag of spring blend salad - 1.99 dollars
1 things of cinnamon rolls - 2.39 dollars

equals $17.43 dollars

then i got a few things at walmart:

half gallon of plain silk soymilk - 2.98 dollars
a box of vegan boca burgers - 2.98 dollars
smart balance buttery spread(vegan) - 2.98 dollars
vegetarian broth - 2.88 dollars

equals $11.82

so $29.25 dollars total.

heres what i made so far:

Wednesday;
Dinner
: 1 boca patty on whole grain bread with lettuce and onion(that i already had) and barbeque sauce(also already had).

i also made a salad (i cut up the head of lettuce and mixed it with the bag of spinach and bag of spring mix and just put them into big ziplock bags and seal them airtight for freshness) with italian dressing that i already had.

Thursday;
Breakfast: a bowl of cocoa pebbles(already had) with soymilk

Lunch: a peanut butter and apple butter(already had) sandwhich on whole grain bread, a cup of apple juice + bottle of water, and a salad with italian dressing.

Dinner: box of dirty rice(already had),sided with frozen corn and steamed asparagus(had fresh asparagus from thanksgiving), then frozen california medly with frozen green beans all toped with smart balance spread and salt and pepper, cup of soymilk.

Friday;
Breakfast: cinnamon buns with the boyfriend and coffee

Lunch: salad with seasoned peanuts(already had), italian dressing, cup of soymilk.

Dinner: free meal from panera(since i work there) got a whole mediterranean veggie sandwhich(minus feta cheese), a cup of garden vegetable soup(minus pesto), an apple, and glass of water with lemon.

midnight stoner snack: fruit cup from panera(brought home some free food since i worked closing), slice of whole grain bread with peanut butter and cinnamon sugar, small bowl of cereal with soymilk.

it all kind of sounds boring but since i love vegetables and soymilk its not that big of a deal for me. i need to try to get more seasonings and next shopping trip i will be getting some tempeh, tofu, and veggies to make some veggie bean soup!

i have also been taking a daily vitamin with vegetarian vitamins i bought from GNC a while ago. the veggie vitamins you’re supposed to take 2 daily but since im taking a regular vitamin with it i only take one.

The perks of having a brother as a tattoo artist: FREE TATTOOS!
This is my 4th tattoo. It is a mockingjay from the book series, The Hunger Games. The bird itself is a symbol of rebellion and freedom, while also manifesting hope for a better future.
I love this series to death. I warp to Panem everytime i reread them. These books impacted me very much, i hope the movies don’t let me down :)

This was taken the day after I got it done :)
I learned a story when I was younger about Canadian Geese in school, and it stuck with me. Basically - Canadian Geese always fly in formation with the strongest one leading, and if one of the birds get sick, hurt, or too tired to continue on, another bird will go down the ground with it, and stay until the bird is ready to continue or dies. They never truly leave eachother alone in a time of need. So - this is my dad, mom, brother, & me.
Done by Mike at Tatarama :) Love it.
